Mobile Workshop Description

Amenities and attractions are vital pieces of a vibrant downtown. Learn how Morgantown has used adaptive reuse of brownfields and other properties to create downtown destinations to attract visitors and residents alike. This tour will stop at several downtown projects, including the Morgantown Farmer’s Market Pavilion, a multi-functional, solar-paneled pavilion funded by federal, state, and private contributions; multiple craft breweries in the downtown and adjacent areas; and brownfield sites that have been transformed or present new potential for an ever-growing urban center. Speakers will tell the history of these projects and how attractions and neighborhoods are connected to help sustain the vibrancy of all.
