The WV Brownfields & Main Street Conference provides educational opportunities for professionals working in brownfield redevelopment and remediation, as well as downtown revitalization in rural communities.
This includes stakeholders such as planners, municipal leaders, economic developers, environmental consultants, environmental agencies, and experts from related land use fields. Brownfield redevelopment requires planning to incorporate community involvement, future land use plans, environmental challenges, cleanup and reuse goals, and identification of funding and resources.

Sessions include innovative reuses for brownfield sites, building a redevelopment team with relevant stakeholders, EPA updates, funding opportunities, and mobile workshops to see local success stories.
Preservation Alliance of WV is sponsoring AICP credits through the American Planning Association for planners on September 10 and 11, 2025, for select conference sessions.
