The WV Brownfields Assistance Center at WVU strives to inspire communities to plan brownfield redevelopment projects.

Our mission is to provide assistance with finding, preparing, and ultimately remaking these sites into usable, clean, and helpful places.

Brownfields Assistance Center at WVU Project Map

The Brownfields Assistance Center at WVU has been providing free technical assistance throughout the state of West Virginia since 2005. This map shows where the Center has provided assistance with brownfield assessment, cleanup, or redevelopment in some capacity. It documents some of the previous work done in programs such as Downtown Appalachia, the FOCUS WV Grant, WV Redevelopment Collaborative, and assistance with EPA Brownfields Grants.
